About The Middle Tennessee Idealist Network ( MTIN )
The Middle Tennessee Idealist Network is a network of idealist in Greater Nashville and its Surrounding Area's reaching out to all of Middle Tennessee. We are a new and growing network, founded on September 22, 2007, that reaches out far beyond a single issue or theme, encouraging charitable dreamers to dream big! A Network that works to help connect practical dreamers with one another as well as to turn those dreams and good intentions into action. The Middle Tennessee Idealist Network is one of Vision and Initiative!
At monthly MTIN networking meetings idealist join together to share ideas and resources for developing better communities through leadership and volunteer opportunities or projects.
Together we brain storm, research ideas, and options to develop various public charitable programs in society or lend support to other public programs and or projects in need.
We have very recently decided to hold Quarterly Events. At quarterly events the Middle Tennesee Idealist Network opens its meeting, mind and heart, to other groups, organizations, leaders, volunteers and in general anyone 18 years of age or older with altruistic goals and/or ideas throughout the Middle Tennessee region. So, what makes this any diffrent than the monthly meetings, one might wonder?
At events we encourage everyone involved in a "public, nonprofit, charitable benefit or endeavor" to not only come but to also bring their business cards and a networking spirit. We also will do our best to secure a special guest speaker. A professional in the not for profit field, who understands the many trials, tribulations and triumps involved in this business as well as those of volunteers and their concerns. MTIN aspires for its Quarterly events to be something of interest for all charitable minded advocates.
