ABOUT Teach Them to Care - TTTC

TEACH THEM TO CARE (TTTC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in Middle Tennessee that researches, evaluates, develops and disseminates programs that foster ethical, social, cultural, and responsibility to charitable sensitivity in society.

While nurturing the capacity to think skillfully and critically, we also strive to deepen the publics commitment to charitable and pro-social values such as kindness, helpfulness, personal responsibility, respect for others, as well as an understanding and acceptance of diversity – qualities that we consider essential to leading a humane and fruitful life in a liberated society.

Teach Them to Care was founded for the purpose of serving the under underserved -  enhancing opportunities available to low income families and children who have access to significantly fewer advantages in life due to economic barriers as well as those individuals who experience hardship due to a disability.

‘Teach Them to Care seeks to ignite ground-breaking passion for achieving the reachable, breathing belief back into communities and practical dreams of yesteryear; inspiring and assisting those that we serve to become motivated self-sufficient, zealous participants in their journeys — to both a brighter today and beyond’.

Our Position on Children at TTTC is that every child, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, orientation, nationality, disability, or ability should have someone who CARES as well as Be Taught By Someone To CARE. We further believe that for this to come to pass, in ernest, we must start with reaching out to the parent(s) of their home. We can build a zillion community centers for children, but if they are returning back to a home that is devoid of hope, peace, love, and care... it very well could result in all being for not.

TTTC is operated by unpaid volunteers and donations.  Since we are a new organization, in the start-up phase, TTTC does Not have any paid staff members currently.

This is not to be interpreted that TTTC will never add paid staff members; because as the organization grows we will indeed need (like all organizations eventually do) paid staff members.

However, Teach Them to Care has adopted the stance that we will not commit more of our donated funds towards paying staff members than we commit to our mission, vision, and purpose of the nonprofit organization...

'Teach Them to Care is a Faith-Based Organization'

What does faith-based mean?
At TTTC we serve and work with people of all faiths. Our team members and volunteers at TTTC have an understanding of how to meet an individual right where they are-showing the love of Christ to those we come in contact with. The TTTC team also leverages our many community connections and refers our constituents who request or express an interest in a deeper level of spiritual guidance to community Minister's through local Church's. Please Click Here & HERE for more information on our public programs.

Some have asked just what "Religion" does TTTC represent?
Our Founders first reply was "Religion? Love Christ, Love One Another!"
She states this because TTTC is "nondenominational" in religious affiliation.

However, her second and more serious answer to this question is that "The Apostles Creed" states our common faith; supporting our belief as a Team that there is a place for agreement that keeps us focused on what we commonly believe together-not on what separates us.

To Best Sum It Up:
TTTC serves BOTH those of Faith as well as the those of no particular belief system - the secular community EQUALLY and WITHOUT Prejudice.

Our History is just beginning...

Hi my name is Marilyn A. Magallanes.

In October of 2006, I started working on the official founding of Teach Then to Care out of my growing concern for the general lack of concern in our society.  I had been researching possibilities for the corporation for quite some time.

In order for TTTC to be successful we will need a variety of support.  Please visit our Help Wanted page to learn how you may be of assistance.

Teach Them To Care "officially" incorporated on January 01, 2007.

TTTC is classified as a Public Charity by the Internal Revenue Service and has been awarded exemption status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
